Intergenerational Relationships, Transformative Teaching, and Biblical Topics

 3C'S   CLASSES  /  Sundays @  9:45 - 10:45 A.M.

A Deeper Look at Mark's Gospel   | Pastor Jim Shultz   |  Room 3205
Take a deeper dive into the gospel of Mark, one chapter each week. Building off the Sunday sermon, together in community we will further mine God’s Word for the riches it offers. Join us as we follow Jesus’ journey to the cross and resurrection through Mark.

Genesis for Adults  |   Jim Keim and Jeremiah Otto   |  Room 2107
Join us to experience Genesis through the eyes of an adult and develop a deeper, more nuanced appreciation of its profound themes. The creation story raises questions about purpose, stewardship, and humanity's role in the universe. The struggles of figures like Adam, Eve, and Cain resonate with personal experiences of choice, consequence, and reconciliation. Abraham's journey of faith highlights trust and obedience in times of uncertainty.
Genesis invites adults to wrestle with difficult concepts, such as human imperfection, divine justice, and grace, while appreciating its poetic beauty and foundational truths about God, humanity, and redemption. It becomes a lens for understanding one's place in God's ongoing story. BYO Bible (or use one of ours).

Following King Jesus - How to Know, Read, Live, and  Show the Gospel  |  Pastor Steve Aeschbacher and Curt Ruhlman   |  Chapel
The Gospel is the best news ever. This class will help us focus on what the Gospel really is and how we can live it out as followers of King Jesus. The first section of the class will focus on what the Gospel is, according to the authors of the New Testament. Then we will look more broadly at how to read the Bible well, and then at how we live out the Gospel, both as individuals and as a community. This study follows the writing of Scot McKnight, a New Testament scholar and professor.

Lectures on Reformed Theology and Biblical History    |  Terry Grogran  |  Room 3208
Join us for an in-depth exploration of the theological principles of the Reformed tradition alongside a comprehensive study of biblical history. This class seeks to illuminate the core doctrines of Reformed theology—such as God's sovereignty, covenant theology, and the authority of Scripture—while situating these teachings within the broader narrative of biblical events and contexts.
April 6 – Patterns of Evidence: Moses Controversy (Mahoney & Rohl)
April 13 – Dating the Crucifixion (Grogran)
April 20 – No Class, Easter
April 27 – Witness of the Resurrection (Sproul)

The Secular Creed   |  Pastor Robby Cella  |  Community Room
Join us for a 5-week journey through The Secular Creed by Rebecca McLaughlin.  Led by Pastor Robby Cella, we’ll explore five cultural hot topics—race, sexuality, gender, and more—with open hearts and curious minds. Rebecca McLaughlin helps us disentangle the beliefs Christians gladly affirm from those they cannot embrace and invites us to engage our homes and neighbors about the things that matter most. Far from opposing love across differences, McLaughlin argues, Christianity is the original source and firmest foundation for true diversity, equality, and life-transforming love. This is a perfect opportunity for families to grow closer, ask big questions, and find clarity in faith together. All ages are welcome—come join the conversation!

Parables of Jesus   |  Selina Li   |  Bride's Room
This study explores the profound teachings of Jesus through His parables—short, thought-provoking stories that reveal the mysteries of God’s Kingdom. We will delve into the cultural context, spiritual truths, and practical applications of these timeless lessons, learn how to apply His teachings to daily life, and be equipped to share the hope and wisdom found in His parables with others. This class is conducted in Mandarin for the convenience of the Mandarin speakers.
